N. WISCONSIN (AP) — A fierce loyalist of President Donald Trump who represents a broad swath of Wisconsin’s rural Northwoods in Congress has entered the governor’s race. U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany becomes the Republican front-runner over two other GOP candidates with less name recognition and support. The governor’s race is open for the first time in 16 years after Democratic Gov. Tony Evers decided against seeking a third term. Numerous Democrats are running, but there is no clear front-runner. Evers hasn’t endorsed anyone yet.
