ASHLAND COUNTY - Enbridge’s Line 5 reroute project in Wisconsin has had another drilling-fluid spill, this time at Trout Brook in Marengo, according to industry watchdog Clean Technica. It follows a 1,900-gallon spill earlier this summer. Environmental groups say nearby streams and wetlands remain at risk. Enbridge has not confirmed the event. The spill came as a judge heard arguments over permits for the project. The Bad River Band and environmental groups say Wisconsin’s DNR violated water and wetland protections. Enbridge says its review was thorough. Written arguments are due September 11, with a ruling expected within 90 days.
