BESSEMER – The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office was called to Rainbow Falls off the Black River Trail yesterday.  Initial reports indicated that two individuals had gone over the falls.  Law enforcement searched the area.  Witnesses say they could hear yelling near Rainbow Falls.  The Sheriff's office says one individual attempted to cross the Black River and slipped, when the second individual tried to help both went over Rainbow Falls.  The two were hoisted to safety by the Gogebic County Search and Rescue Team with only minor injuries.  Multiple agencies responded to the scene including The Michigan State Police Wakefield Post, The U.S. Forest Service, Ironwood Fire and Beacon Ambulance.
