BOULDER JUNCTION - Boulder Junction Parks and Recreation volunteer Dennis Duke has received the 2026 Wisconsin Governor's Outdoor Industry Rising Star Award for helping expand the town's outdoor recreation. Since joining the board in 2021, Duke has helped lead projects including an accessible playground, an expanded basketball court, an 18-hole disc golf course, and The Glide, Wisconsin's first outdoor skating ribbon. Duke credited the award to the board's volunteer team, saying the projects have boosted year-round tourism while also improving quality of life for residents.
