IRON COUNTY – The Iron County Sheriff's office says on Thursday night just after 7:00 they received a report of a 96-year-old woman with dementia missing from her home on Fisher Lake in Oma.  With assistance from the Gogebic County Sheriff's Office along with Mercer and Oma fire departments the elderly woman was found just before 10pm lying in a wooded area a short distance from her home cold and disoriented but alive and in good condition.  The 96-year-old was then transported back home and didn’t need to be transported to the hospital.  Iron County Sherrif Paul Samardich says “due to quick response and cooperative effort of all involved, we were able to bring this incident to a safe and successful conclusion”
