ASHLAND – In information released Friday afternoon the Ashland County Sheriff’s office says last Thursday, at approximately 6:28 A.M., the Ashland-Bayfield Emergency Communications Center received a report of a fire involving an equipment trailer and two boring machines located in the Township of Gingles.  The Ashland County Sheriff's Office, WI Department of Criminal Investigation - State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms and Explosives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation at this time.  There were no reported injuries. The Ashland County Sheriff's Office are asking members of the public to report any suspicious activity or behavior they may have observed in the area around the time of the incident off of Hegstrom Road and surrounding area.
