N. WISCONSIN - Certain students across Wisconsin will soon be able to be admitted directly to the Universities of Wisconsin. Direct Admit Wisconsin is a new program that allows some high school students to automatically be accepted to 10 University of Wisconsin locations. Qualified high school students will received emails to their school accounts letting them know they’ve been admitted. They can then fill out a form to connect with the campus they’re interested in. The program is designed for students who normally wouldn’t think college was an option. Four high schools in the Northland are participating, Ashland, Shell Lake, Solon Springs and Winter. All UW campuses are participating except for Madison, Eau Claire, and La Crosse.
