IRONWOOD - The Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board is exploring funding options for a proposed overnight airline hangar, focusing on bonds, grants, and budget appropriations while ruling out a millage increase. Airport officials will research hangar rates at similar airports and determine whether state or federal grants could help fund the project. Despite the departure of a key Denver Air Connection executive, the airline indicated it would likely use the hangar if it were large enough and planned.
