IRONWOOD - “Hands Off” rallies took place across the Country Saturday including in Ironwood.  Around 100 people attended the Ironwood event at the Ironwood City Square.  The groups website says the mass mobilization was to send a message to the world that they do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies.  The protest was peaceful with no reports of any incidents.  The group Indivisible along with the Gogebic and Iron County Democrats helped organize the Ironwood event. Similar events were held in Marquette, Houghton, Iron Mountain and Escanaba.  The protests on Saturday occurred nationally in over 1,200 locations across all 50 states.
