VILAS COUNTY - St. Germain man involved in a crash in Minocqua almost two weeks ago has died. February 6th, 69-year-old John W. Huppert crossed the center line on Highway 51, north of Huber Lane. His vehicle hit the side of a front-end loader owned by the city of Minocqua as it was plowing the sidewalk. It is believed he suffered a medical complication, which caused him to pass out behind the wheel and crash. Huppert was transported to the hospital. Local law enforcement said he died on the 18th.
