BOULDER JUNTION - Although the Rink and The Glide in Boulder Junction are now closed for the season, Winter Park has purchased a Kubota tractor with a power broom to improve ice quality and reduce volunteer effort next season. The Vilas County News Review reports Town Chairman Dennis Reuss said the new equipment enhances existing resurfacing tools, improving safety, efficiency, and surface consistency, especially given the Glide’s popularity. Park board member Steve Weber highlighted the broom’s importance, significantly cutting snow removal and ice grooming time compared to the debut season. The purchase continues the town’s commitment to quality, safety, stewardship, and volunteer acknowledgment. Boulder Junction Winter Park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; check boulderatplay.com for current conditions.
