UPPER MICHIGAN - Law enforcement, including the Michigan Tech University Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing student. Matthew Sisson, a 36-year-old graduate student, said he was heading to Walmart in Houghton this past Tuesday. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Sisson’s family reported him missing on the 14th. Intensive searches not turned up any clues as to his whereabouts. Matthew Sisson is 36 years old, a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 215 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. He has a full-faced beard and wears glasses. University officials and Public Safety personnel are concerned about Matthew’s safety due to some well-known mental health challenges. Anyone with information is asked to contact Michigan Tech Public Safety or by going to mtu.edu/tips or the Michigan Tech Police Facebook page.
