BOULDER JUNCTION - Boulder Junction’s innovative almost 1 mile Glide skating trail, and Winter Park are set to open for their second season tomorrow.

The skating ribbon was a major success in its inaugural year, made possible by the dedicated Park Board and over a dozen volunteers. The new winter recreation attraction earned a First Ascent Award for Innovation. According to Town Park Board member Steve Weber, the attraction drew thousands, including international visitors, significantly boosting the town’s winter economy, nearly equaling local snowmobile traffic for businesses. Cathy Royer of Friends of Boulder Junction Parks highlighted that The Glide provided much-needed excitement and business during a low-snow winter. The town and its volunteers anticipate this winter will be even busier, thanks to a solid snow base and three inches of ice forming on The Glide, which will open tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
