LAC DU FLAMBEAU – The Lac Du Flambeau Tribal Police department releasing information yesterday regarding a homicide in Lac Du Flambeau over the weekend.  According to Tribal Police they responded to a home in Lac Du Flambeau Saturday along with the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a suspect and found an unconscious victim suffering from head trauma. The victim was transported by helicopter to the hospital.  No other information has been released, and the investigation is still ongoing.  However, police say this was a targeted attack by a lone assailant and that there is no threat to the public.
