UPPER MICHIGAN - Michigan’s minimum wage workers will see a paycheck increase this January.  On January 1st Michigan’s Improved Workforce Opportunity Wage Act will increase the minimum hourly wage from $12.48 to $13.73. For minors aged 16 and 17, the hourly wage will be raised from $10.60 to $11.67.  The hourly wage for tipped workers will also increase from $4.74 to $5.49.
