TOWN OF CONOVER - A 49-year-old woman from Portage County was killed in an ATV crash on Sunday in Vilas County.  The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash in the Town of Conover, located 15 minutes north of Eagle River, at 3:40 Sunday afternoon. The sheriff’s office says the woman had been ejected from an ATV and was unconscious. The woman to Eagle River Aspirus Hospital and then to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.  The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office says the woman died from her injuries yesterday morning.  The name of the woman is being withheld, pending notification of family.
