ASHLAND COUNTY - One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 13 in Ashland County yesterday morning.  According to the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews responded around 10:20 a.m. to reports of a crash near Amsler Road in Chippewa Township, north of Butternut and Park Falls.  First responders discovered the driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, had died at the scene.  The crash remains under investigation by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office and the Ashland County Coroner’s Office. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
