UPPER MICHIGAN - Special Olympics Michigan Area 39 which includes Gogebic, and Ontonagon, counties will host a free Movie Night and Silent Auction fundraiser featuring the Emmy-nominated documentary "Patrice" on Saturday, April 18, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater in Hancock. The film details the true story of a couple of Special Olympics athletes trying to get married. Co-Area 39 Directors Michael and Naomi Behrmann noted the film's realism. Guests at the event will have the opportunity to meet Area 39 athletes. Tickets are free via Eventbrite or by emailing area39@somi.org. Popcorn will be provided, and guests can bid on locally donated items in the silent auction.
