GREENLAND - A woman was rescued and a male suspect was found dead following a reported shooting Saturday in Greenland, in Ontonagon County. Deputies responded to the 600 block of Depot Street around 5:15 p.m. for a reported gunshot wound. A deputy safely removed a woman from the home and took her to waiting medical personnel. The suspect was later found dead inside a vehicle on a neighboring property from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office, Houghton City Police and Michigan State Police assisted. The investigation continues.
