BAYFIELD COUNTY - Washburn Ironworks is using a Wisconsin state grant to bring artificial intelligence into its metal manufacturing operations. The company, which employs 40 people, plans to use AI to track materials, reduce waste, improve shipping, and handle routine office tasks. The grant is part of a state program awarded to 84 Wisconsin businesses.
