UPPER MICHIGAN - The United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Michigan announced yesterday that Timothy VerHey has been appointed to serve as the United States Attorney for the district. On Monday, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi appointed VerHey to serve as Interim United States Attorney.  As U.S. Attorney, VerHey will serve as the chief federal law enforcement officer, representing the United States in all federal and civil litigation in the Western District of Michigan which overs the western half of the lower peninsula and all the upper peninsula.
