ASHLAND COUNTY - A $3.59 million resurfacing project on Highway 77 in Ashland County begins Monday and is expected to finish by late September. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, crews will repave the highway from Mellen to the Iron County line, replace storm sewers and culverts, install centerline rumble strips, and repair the Devil’s Creek Bridge. The highway will remain open, but drivers should expect single-lane closures and temporary traffic signals during construction.
