UPPER MICHIGAN - President Donald Trump has approved Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s request for a major disaster declaration, which would help communities impacted by severe storms and flooding in Michigan.  The declaration will help 43 counties across Michigan that saw damage on April 10 and April 21, including Iron, Marquette and Menominee counties in the U.P.  Governor Whitmer says the funding will help families begin their recovery and provide critical resources to affected communities.
