HURLEY – Today is election day in Iron County and Throughout Wisconsin.  The only locally contested race is for two Mercer Board of Supervisors seats among Roxanne Lutgen, David McNutt, James Schmidt, and Kevin Towne, as Christan Brandt is not seeking re-election. Seven of 15 County Board seats are open due to six incumbents retiring and one vacant seat. Seats remain open in Sherman, Gurney/Saxon, and Montreal Ward 2. The Hurley City Council race includes Rita Franzoi despite her resignation. Joe Kasper is a write-in for both County Board and City Council. Incumbent Anthony J. Stella Jr. is running unopposed for Iron County Circuit Court judge.
