MINOCQUA - The Minocqua Forest Riders Snowmobile Club is hosting it’s inaugural Vintage Snowmobile Day this Saturday at Area 31 in Minocqua. The family friendly event will feature vintage snowmobiles on display, a vintage radar run and a snowmobile raffle. The Forest Riders have held a fundraiser during the third week of February for several years, offering a new snowmobile as the raffle prize. This year necessitated a new location, and the collaboration with Area 31 began. Both Mercury and Yamaha snowmobiles have been built at the venue, so the partnership just made sense. There will be food, beer, refreshments, basket raffles, a groomer display and a bonfire among all the events of the day. Proceeds benefit the Minocqua Forest Riders trail maintenance and equipment fund. For more information go to vintagesnowmobileday.com.
