MARENISCO - The former Ojibway Correctional Facility the site of a potential Marijuana Grow Operation? The Marenisco Town Board of Trustees were given a presentation by a company that wants to build a new marijuana grow facility in the township if the state of Michigan will agree to sell the former Ojibway Correctional Facility. Wisconsin company Whispering Cedar, LLC made an offer to the state. The amount of the offer hasn’t been disclosed. Whispering Cedar LLC hasn’t clarified plans for the facility other than it would house a grow, processing and testing facility on part of the land. The state of Michigan closed the prison in 2018
