WINTER, WIS – The Winter School District, in Northern Wisconsin, is at risk of losing its only pre-K through 12th grade public school.  The Winter School District failed to pass a $2 million referendum in April.  November 3rd voters will decide on a $1.5 million referendum which the school district refers to as their last shot at securing funding.  If voters say no school officials say the district as at risk of closing.  If the Winter School District closes the nearest schools are at least a 40 minute drive away for students to either attend classes in Ladysmith, Hayward or Park Falls.
