UPPER MICHIGAN - A Lower Michigan man was convicted by a federal jury in Marquette yesterday for sexual abuse of a minor, crimes investigators say he committed in the U.P.  U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Timothy VerHey says 39-year-old Eric Scott May, of Pellston, MI has been convicted on two counts of sexual abuse of a minor following a jury trial that court documents show began Monday.  May convicted of engaging in sexual acts with a child between the ages of 12 and 15 between February and March 2025 in the U.P.  May has a lengthy criminal history that includes more than ten prior felony convictions.
