LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer hinting that she may not be interested in running for president in 2028. Whitmer was asked during a moderated discussion last week if she is thinking about the Democratic nomination for president in 2028. Her response, “I don’t know if I’m going to be the person.” Whitmer is in her final two years as governor and cannot run again because of term limits.
