IRONWOOD - Ironwood hosted the 10th annual Plaidurday celebration Friday, drawing 1,173 people and nine dogs to downtown. Lansing's Bugsy Sailor started the informal holiday in 2010, and it now draws participants across the U.S. and internationally. Ironwood’s 1,173 participants surpassed Houghton’s 1,038 this year, but neither topped the world record of 1,745, set in Houghton in 2023. The Ironwood event featured live music, food trucks, downtown shops, a farmers market, and a scavenger hunt. You can find the photos of the day on social media and on WUPM’s Facebook page.
