IRONWOOD – As a reminder Copper Peak in Ironwood Township is closed and currently off-limits to all winter activities, including skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.

The closure is due to construction hazards. A year-long, $20 million state-funded project is underway to restore the ski jump for international competitions and although construction is paused for the winter, the closure remains essential because of safety risks posed by metal rods, some of which are concealed by snow. The grounds are under 24-hour video surveillance to deter trespassing.
