N. WISCONSIN / U.P. (AP) — A powerful storm has brought blizzard conditions to the Upper Midwest. Heavy snow piled up Sunday in portions of Minnesota, Wisconsin and the U.P. An area from central Wisconsin into the Upper Peninsula seeing over 2 feet of snow, with higher isolated totals in parts of the Eastern U.P. Locally the worst of the Blizzard missed us. Winds and snow did pick up overnight dropping about 12.5 inches of snow as of 7:00 this morning at our Ironwood Studios. Worst hit to our east where Thousands are without power in the Central and Eastern U.P. Xcel Energy not showing any significant power outages this morning on the Gogebic Range. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT/ THIS AFTERNOON...for Gogebic, Iron and Ashland County. The BLIZZARD WARNING IS CANCELLED...Snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph is expected. ...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...for Vilas County. ...LAKESHORE FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...for Ontonagon County with wave heights of 15 to 25 feet possible.
