IRONWOOD - The state average for the price of gas is down for the third consecutive week since the Labor Day Weekend.  Michigan drivers are paying an average of $3.05 for a gallon of regular gas. That price is 13 cents less than last week, 12 cents less than this time last month, and 21 cents less than this time last year.  The state national average still sits higher than the state, at $3.18 per gallon.  Around Upper Michigan, the lowest average is in Menominee County at $2.97 per gallon. The highest is in Keweenaw and Mackinac Counties at $3.30.  Ironwood prices at $3.13 a gallon as of this morning.
