BAYFIELD COUNTY - Bayfield County officials are reviewing a plan to spend $1 million on new emergency medical services funding. According to the Daily Press, half would go to towns based on population, while the rest would use a formula rewarding EMS performance and response times. Officials say the goal is to stabilize local ambulance services and improve coordination. The board also voted to reinstate an EMS advisory committee to develop countywide service standards and track performance.
