N. WISCONSIN / UP - The Michigan and Wisconsin State Patrol along with local law enforcement are stepping up impaired-driving enforcement now through September 7 as part of the annual Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. In 2025, nearly 7,000 crashes involved alcohol or drug impairment, accounting for one-third of traffic deaths. Officials urge anyone drinking or using drugs this Labor Day Weekend to plan a sober ride home.
