VILAS COUNTY - Authorities have released the name of the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash. At approximately 12:05 AM on Sunday, the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a motorcycle accident in the vicinity of Gross Road and Milton Lane. The caller, who discovered the scene, noted that the motorcycle was still warm to the touch, yet no one was immediately visible. A deputy was dispatched to the location and upon arrival, discovered 33-year-old Nathaniel Dalum. He had sustained severe injuries consistent with the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Further details regarding the circumstances of the crash, such as whether other vehicles were involved or the exact cause of the accident, have not yet been released. The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the full sequence of events that led to the crash and Nathaniel Dalum’s death.
