ASHLAND - Ashland School District Superintendent Robert Prater says he will not seek another contract when his term ends in June 2027. Prater plans to move to Minnesota to help care for elderly family members. The Daily Press reports School Board President Eric Brandis said the district is grateful for Prater’s guidance since 2022. The school board will begin searching for his replacement in August, with community input and help from a school board organization. Interviews are expected in January and February, with a new superintendent chosen by March.
