ASHLAND - Two Flock surveillance cameras were stolen from a roundabout on Highway 13 near U.S. Highway 2 west of Ashland in late July. The Daily Press reports investigators say thieves cut down one pole and started a grass fire while trying to bring down the other. The fire burned up to 100 feet around the pole and required a fire department response. The damage and theft are estimated at $6,000 to $10,000, and no arrests have been made. The Bayfield County sheriff says investigators have strong leads.
