IRONWOOD - The Longyear Park playground is currently under construction to install new equipment and surfacing within the park.  The playground equipment has been installed, but the installation of wood chips and edging backfill won’t be complete until September 12th.  For now the city of Ironwood is asking the public to please stay off the equipment until the project is complete. The new park features include a zip line and a tri spinner along with new ADA woodchips, playground retention border, and 8 canopy trees.  These new improvements were paid for by a $75,000 MSHDA Mi Neighborhood Public Amenities grant.
