N. WISC / UP – After 6 hours of power outages the lights came back on at around 9pm just before a line of strong to severe thunderstorms pushed though the region causing more power outages to the area.  As of 7:00 this morning in Northern Wisconsin much of the Park Falls area was without power.  Winchester, Presque Isle, and Manitowish Waters in Vilas County were in the dark with areas near Washburn without power.  In the U.P. UPPCO was able to get power restored to all of Ontonagon County by 7am with numerous power outages being reported in Marquette and Houghton Counties.  Verizon cell phone service is down for much of the Gogebic Range this morning.  Another round of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible for later today.
