IRONWOOD – Michigan’s average gas price starting the week lower.  Michigan motorists are paying an average of $3.12 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas. That’s down 11 cents from a week ago and 8 cents from this time last month. Meanwhile, the national average is slightly higher than the state’s, at $3.14 per gallon.  Around Upper Michigan, the lowest average is in Houghton County at $2.90 per gallon, while the highest is in Mackinac County at $3.44.  Ironwood prices below the state and national average at $3.07 per gallon this morning.
