WAKEFIELD - The Wakefield City Council approved a maintenance agreement with the Michigan Department of Transportation. The agreement authorizes the city to perform construction, improvements and maintenance on state trunkline highways and allows for reimbursement of those services. The Council also heard from the designated engineer on the city’s water project. Public Works reported it is taking steps to discourage geese from the Sunday Lake Area and that the street paving in town is expected to be done by next week. The next meeting of the council will be on the 26th.
