PARK FALLS – Marshfield Medical Center-Park Falls celebrated a milestone in its partial-hospital replacement project with a ceremony in Park Falls on Tuesday.  The event, attended by Governor Tony Evers, marked the completion of Phase 1 of the project. The recently completed phase included adding new spaces for physical & occupational therapy, inpatient pharmacy and the 11-bed Med-Surg hospital unit.  Highlights of Phase 2 in the $35 million project include a retail pharmacy, a relocated urgent care and new spaces for several rehab services. Construction will ramp up following current work to demolish some of the decades-old buildings on campus. New flooring, furniture, and lighting upgrades will also enhance the Park Falls medical offices to align with the look and feel of the new campus. Completion of the entire project is targeted for 2025.  The project is aided by a $20 million grant from the Healthcare Infrastructure Capital Investment Grant Program, which was awarded by Governor Evers in March 2022.
