N. WISCONSIN – In Iron local races most candidates ran unopposed.  Brancy Rowe is the new Register of Deeds, Christan Brandt is County Clerk, Matthew J. Tingstad is District Attorney, and Clara J. Maki is County Treasure.  The two Referendums on the ballot, a majority of Iron County voters said YES to both, narrowly 645 to 610 on Question one and 636 to 613 on Question two.  Both were defeated in the statewide vote.  In Northern Wisconsin the Minocqua referendum asking Shall the Town of Minocqua be allowed to increase the levy for the next fiscal year, 51.5 percent of Minocqua voters said YES.  In Price County Renee Leinfelder was the winner in the Treasurer race with 52% of the vote and Meredith Hueckman won in a tight Price County Clerk Race with 748 votes.
