IRONWOOD - The Gogebic County Fair kicks off today. The annual event is a little different this year, but still promises a weekend packed with excitement for all ages. There’s a patriotic flag raising ceremony, with honor guard @ 4:30 to start things off. Following the opening, there are various expo exhibits, showcasing local talents and crafts to explore. Livestock entries will also be a major highlight, with proud farmers displaying their prized animals. Throughout the fair, there will be live music and as the weekend continues, those looking for a challenge can try their luck at the many classic carnival games. There are the 4-H competitions, tournaments, harness races, mud bogging, and more; everyone will find something to capture their interest. Entry is just $5 every day.
