N. WISCONSIN - Congressman Tom Tiffany introduced a bill that would make the Apostle Islands Wisconsin's first national park. Tiffany's Apostle Islands National Park and Preserve Act would redesignate the area from a national lakeshore to a national park. The House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Federal Lands held a hearing on the legislation yesterday. No boundaries would be altered with the redesignation.
