ASHLAND - The family of former Northland College student Bjorn Norgaard says the school's closure has erased much of the $156,000 they raised for scholarships and an endowment honoring his memory. Donors argue the college improperly borrowed $22 million from restricted endowment funds to cover operating costs, while Northland maintains its actions were legal. A judge approved a plan to distribute the remaining funds, but some donors are urging the Wisconsin Attorney General to investigate further.
