LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A widely anticipated potential semiconductor project that would have brought a new plant to Michigan has fallen through and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is blaming economic uncertainty. The Democratic governor says Wednesday that the company decided to drop out of the plan due to national economic uncertainty compounded by tariffs. California-based Sandisk declined to comment, and the Trump administration has refuted Whitmer's assertion.
