ASHLAND - Ashland and a developer from Superior have entered into an agreement to build a multi-unit housing complex in Ashland. The complex will have no less than 130 units, with studio, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. The agreement doesn’t guarantee the project will be constructed, but City Administrator Brant Kucera said it shows Vision, Inc., the developer, has intent to move ahead with it. Development incentives include a $3 million development grant paid from general obligation bonds and $3.5 million in tax increment grants. Groundbreaking for the complex is expected to take place in September with construction to begin in 2026.
