GOGEBIC COUNTY - Communities across the Western Upper Peninsula will benefit from a $1 million EPA Brownfields Assessment Coalition Grant awarded to Invest UP and regional partners, including the Gogebic County Land Bank Authority. The funding will help assess and prepare blighted or underused properties for redevelopment, removing barriers to future investment. Officials say the grant will support economic growth, create redevelopment opportunities, and help communities return vacant sites to productive use.
